West Texas TOUGH Nationally Recognized Trial Attorneys

Work with Former Federal Prosecutors in the Northern and Western Districts of Texas

We are THE law firm in West Texas.   While most firms focus on metropolitan areas like Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, or Austin and pay lip service to West Texas, we exclusively focus on helping our West Texas communities.  Keith & Lorfing has offices in Abilene, Lubbock, Midland, and San Angelo.  We don’t just understand the legal system out in West Texas, we know the system.  Our former law partners are now judges and elected district attorneys in West Texas.  So when we say we know the judges and the prosecutors, and what the courts expect, we’re not just blowing smoke.   More importantly, our roots run deep.  Managing partner Russell Lorfing was a federal prosecutor in Lubbock.  Partner Trey Keith has lived in Sweetwater for 25 years.  Of counsel Joel Wilks is a fourth generation West Texan.  Of counsel Christopher Solis grew up in far west Texas or he would say, the real west Texas. From the Panhandle to the Llano Estacado all the way down to Big Bend, we are proud to focus our legal practice in the Wild West.

A Personal Story of Service & Commitment

Get to Know our Managing Partner Russell Lorfing

Russell grew up poor and saw his biological father struggle with addiction and a criminal record. His mother worked two jobs and the graveyard shift to make ends meet. He witnessed first hand the devastating impact drugs and the criminal justice system have on family life. As a young man, he knew he wanted a different life. Through hard work and determination, he became the first person in his family to ever attend and graduate college. Russell is married to Jessica Lorfing, his beautiful wife, and he is the proud father of three amazing boys. He enjoys camping, hiking, and Longhorn football. One of his greatest passions in life is exploring exotic places and adventure travel. He has traveled to over 70 countries, visited all seven wonders of the world, ran a marathon on the Great Wall of China, hiked to the base camp of Mt. Everest, survived the Amazon jungle, swam with sharks in the Pacific Ocean, explored the mountains of Patagonia, and tried walking on water at the Sea of Galilee.
